The Patagonia Women’s Classic Retro-X Fleece Vest is a warm, windproof fleece gilet designed for cold-weather layering and everyday outdoor wear. Worn as a bodywarmer over knitwear or under a shell, it provides reliable core warmth without restricting movement, making it a versatile choice for walking, travel, and casual outdoor clothing. The fleece is made from 100% Repreve® recycled polyester, certified by OceanCycle and sourced from coastal communities at risk of plastic pollution.

The soft ½-pile fleece delivers plush insulation while a fully lined construction helps block wind and retain warmth. Inside, a recycled polyester taffeta lining with a durable water repellent finish made without added PFAS helps prevent cold gusts cutting through. In a Natural colourway, the fleece is an 'undyed' cream colour, in harmony with light beige elastic binding and a matching pocket square, giving the gilet a distinctive retro look rooted in Patagonia’s heritage.

This fleece vest features a full-length front zip with an internal wind flap for added protection, alongside a fleece-lined stand-up collar that feels soft against the skin. The outer collar and trim are reinforced with NetPlus® 100% postconsumer recycled nylon made from recycled fishing nets. Storage is secure and functional, with a zippered chest pocket made from NetPlus® fabric and two zippered handwarmer pockets lined with soft recycled polyester tricot. A relaxed, hip-length fit allows for easy layering across seasons.
